Issue
When you try to convert a Microsoft Office document to a PDF document by choosing File > Create PDF > From File in Adobe Acrobat, Acrobat returns the error "Unable to locate the following Adobe PDF settings file or other resources: [filepath]. Would you like to run the installer in repair mode?"
Solution:Refresh the conversion settings for Microsoft Office documents.
1. In Acrobat, choose Edit > Preferences.
2. Select Convert to PDF, select Microsoft Office, and then click Edit Settings.
3. Click OK to close the Adobe PDF Settings dialog box, and then click OK to close the Preferences dialog box.
4. Exit, and then restart Acrobat.
Additional Information
Corrupt conversion settings for Microsoft Office can cause errors in Acrobat 6.0 when converting Microsoft Office documents to PDF.
When you open the Adobe PDF Settings For Supported Documents dialog box for a particular file type in the preferences, Acrobat recreates the conversion settings for that file type.
