When you record a F4V file using Flash Media Live Encoder and stream the video in Flash Media Server, the custom metadata in the file is unreadable.
Note: The F4V format is based on the format specified by ISO/IEC 14496-12: ISO base media file format. Starting with SWF files published for Adobe Flash Player 9 Update 3 (9.0.115.0), Flash Player can play F4V files.
Adobe plans to resolve this issue with a future version of Flash Media Live Encoder that will support XMP (Extensible Metadata Platform). Custom metadata added to a F4V file will be included as XMP data when streamed and recorded.
Flash Media Live Encoder does not currently support XMP (Extensible Metadata Platform). This support is required to stream and record custom metadata for F4V files. The custom metadata saved in a F4V file is currently not recorded. Therefore, it is unreadable to end users.
