The download and import functions in Adobe Photo Downloader, Adobe Bridge Photo Downloader, or the Adobe Photoshop Lightroom don't recognize RAW files from a Canon camera in Windows Vista. If you use RAW+JPEG, then only the JPEG files are downloaded.

Connect your camera to your computer.

Turn on the camera.

In the AutoPlay window, choose Import Pictures.

After your photos are located, click Options and select the location where you would like to store your photos under Import To. Make a note of the folder to which you download your photos.

Open Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Photoshop Elements, or Adobe Photoshop Lightroom.

Choose the appropriate import option, and then browse to the folder to which you downloaded your photos.
