Fireworks CS4
Fireworks CS5
When you export multiple states with Current State Only deselected, the first state isn't appended with "_s1," regardless of settings in the HTML Setup dialog box. (The Current State Only option is in the Export dialog box.) For example, when you edit State 3 and export it without exporting all the other states, the exported slice overwrites State 1.
Example:
Export a file named XYZ with three states. Fireworks creates files XYZ, XYZ_f2, and XYZ_f3, corresponding to the states after export. The first state isn't appended with f1. If you modify State 3, and export it with Current State Only deselected, a file with the name XYZ is created. The XYZ file contains changes to State 3, and overwrites the previously created XYZ file (corresponding to State 1). The XYZ_f3 file is unchanged.
To retain the naming convention for State 3, and avoid overwriting the State 1 file, do the following:
When you export multiple states with Current State Only deselected, the first state is appended with "_s1" (or the convention defined in the HTML Setup dialog). For example, when you edit State 3 and export it without exporting all the other states, a file named XYZ is created. The XYZ_s3 file is unchanged after export, and all changes made to State 3 are reflected in the XYZ file. Unlike CS4, the file corresponding to State 1 is not overwritten.
Example:
Export a file named XYZ with three states. Fireworks creates files XYZ_s1, XYZ_s2, and XYZ_s3 corresponding to the states after export. If you modify State 3 and export it with Current State Only deselected, then a file with the name XYZ is created. The XYZ file contains changes to State 3. The XYZ_s3 file is unchanged.
To retain the naming convention for State 3, do the following:
