For some Firefox browser users, Adobe Flash video content (such as from www.youtube.com) begins, but stops playing aftera fewseconds.
This is a known issue with Flash Player 9. It can be caused by a number of factors:
- Having more than 15 instances of Adobe Flash Player running in Firefox. With multiple tabs and many sites featuring ads delivered as Flash content, it is fairly easy to have more than 15 instances in memory.
- Having certain hardware drivers that may be corrupt. For example, some users have reported this issue when they had older PCI cards installed, but removing those particular cards resolved the issue.
- Disconnecting USB speakers/headphones.
- Not having an audio output device configured.
