Issue
You are unable to insert a numeric space in an autonumber format in Adobe FrameMaker 5.5.3 and earlier for Mac OS.
Solutions
Do either of the following:
Solution 1
Use FrameMaker 5.5.6 or later. For information on upgrading to the current version, visit Adobe's Web site at www.adobe.com/products/framemaker/main.html .
Solution 2
Insert a numeric space into some text, and then copy and paste the numeric space into the autonumber format.
Additional Information
You can insert em spaces, en spaces, and thin spaces into autonumber formats in FrameMaker 5.5.3 and earlier, but not numeric spaces. You can insert em spaces, en spaces, thin spaces, and numeric spaces into autonumber formats in FrameMaker 5.5.6 and later.
