Make your Ovation show a streaming video

Ovation supports linked video and audio content from the PowerPoint presentation. Embedded content (i.e. content that is actually included in the PPT file, as opposed to the PPT linking to a different file) is not supported. When exporting an Ovation show and moving it to another computer, make sure to move all linked content to the same folder as the exported OVN file as well, just as you would if you moved a PPT file to another computer.

Using "On Click" to playback audio and bideo

Audio and video files that are specified to begin playing "On Click" (as opposed to "Automatically") may not play as expected. To resolve this problem, you may need to adjust the "Custom Animation" of the content to use a standard "Entrance". See your Powerpoint documentation for more information about Custom Automation.

Forcing Powerpoint to link files (instead of embedding them)

Ovaiton only supports linked audio. If your audio is an embedded file, delete the file from the Powerpoint slide audio and go to tools>options>general tab and Set the "Link sounds with file size greater than..." to 1k, then re-import your audio. You need to do this for each embedded audio file.

Making your Ovation show a Streaming Video

Ovation currently outputs to an .OVN file that can be played within the Ovation program or the Free Ovation player. If you want to take your presentation and make it a streaming video, then you need to capture the Ovation presentation with a program like Fraps or Camtasia. You can then import the resutling .avi file from one of these programs into an editing application (for example, Visual Communicator) where you can add additional voiceover or music and then export the final movie to a web friendly format (for example, WMV, Quicktime MOV, or Real Media).
