This technote formally extends support for Central and Central Pro Output Server 5.7 to Windows 7 (32/64 bit) and Windows Server 2008 R2 (64 bit). This note also provides required procedure for the product to function properly.
In a multi-instance install of Central 5.7, some instances randomly fail to start and produce a log error similar to:
2010/04/20 10:17:00 c:\formunis\Bin\jfserver.exe: [400]open of table 'C:\Windows\TEMP\JFXD757.tmp' failed
In Control, instances sometimes show "jfserver.sts not found" or report "Loading job management database" forever.
This problem is also present on Windows Server 2008 R1 (64 bit) but not as prominent.
View manager is a client application for Central Pro. When it is installed on Windows 7 (32/64 bit) and Windows Server 2008 (64 bit), it doesn't work properly.
For Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008R2, IPv6 is installed and enabled by default. On a machine running the Central Preview Agent with IPv4 protocol, the Preview Agent fails to transfer the files. The Preview Agent also reports the following error in the jfserver.log.
“Fails. Exception: [1005] Connect to <host> failed: 10060”
