Issue

The Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder preview window is blank.

Reason

This issue occurs for the following reasons:

  1. The audio or video capture device is not working or is not properly connected to the system or capture card.
  2. On the right side of the Flash Media Live Encoder interface, next to Preview, the Input Video, Output Video, and Audio options are not selected.
  3. There are error messages on the Encoding Log tab.
  4. The video device is not working.
  5. The device drivers are outdated.

Solution

To resolve this issue, try one of the following solutions:

  1. Make sure the audio or video capture device is working and is properly connected to the system or capture card.
  2. On the right side of the Flash Media Live Encoder interface, next to Preview, verify that the Input Video, Output Video, and Audiooptions are selected.
  3. Check for any error messages on the Encoding Log tab.
  4. Try using a different video device.
  5. Update the device drivers.
