Deleting HomeSite or Studio 4.5 product Registry keys causes the Uninstall operation to fail.
Upon occasion, users are instructed to delete the following Registry Key to reset all Options > Settings to defaults.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Allaire\HomeSite45 (HomeSite)
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Allaire\CFStudio45 (ColdFusion Studio)
Restarting HomeSite/Studio will recreate the keys and reset your settings. However, you will need to recreate the following key in your registry in order to later uninstall the product.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Allaire\HomeSite45\FileLocations\ProgramDir
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Allaire\CFStudio45\FileLocations\ProgramDir
After creating the key. please input the value. The value is the directory path where the product is installed. In most cases the Value Data will be C:\Program Files\Allaire\HomeSite 4.5 or C:\Program Files\Allaire\ColdFusion Studio 4.5
This issue is resolved in 4.5.2 by creating and populating the FileLocations key at runtime.
