Issue

When you install Adobe Premiere Elements 10 (trial version) along with Photoshop Elements 10 (full version), you receive the following message:

"Please insert Disk 2 and continue installation of products requested." 

After you click OK, the computer doesn't allow you to open the disc drive to remove Disc 1 and insert Disc 2. You are installing Photoshop Elements on 64-bit Windows 7.

Solution

  1. Click OK in the message dialog box. A dialog stating that Photoshop Elements is successfully installed on your computer appears.
  2. Click Finish.
  3. In the message asking you to restart your computer, click No. 

    Note: If you click Yes, wait until the computer restart is complete, and log in to your computer. Remove the installation disc and insert Disc 2.
  4. Close all windows related to installing Photoshop Elements 10.
  5. Eject Disc 1 from your computer's disc drive.
  6. Insert Disc 2 into your computer's disc drive to install Adobe Premiere Elements trial version.

 Additional information

 The retail box for Adobe Photoshop Elements contains three discs:

  • Disc 1 is for Windows computers and contains the installers for Adobe Photoshop Elements, and 32-bit version of Adobe Premiere Elements (Trial)
  • Disc 2 is for Windows computers and contains the installer for the 64-bit version of Adobe Premiere Elements (Trial)
  • Disc 3 is for Mac computers and contains installers for Adobe Photoshop Elements, and Adobe Premiere Elements (Trial)

If you are installing Adobe Photoshop Elements on a Windows computer, insert Disc 1. The installer checks the OS version. If the installer detects a Windows 7 64-bit computer, it displays the message, "Please insert Disk 2 and continue installation of products requested".
