Uninstalling Adobe Premiere Elements or Adobe Photoshop Elements removes the application from your computer. If you installed Adobe Premiere Elements or Adobe Photoshop Elements content, it's necessary to uninstall it separately. Adobe recommends that you uninstall content before you uninstall the application.
Note:
Do not attempt to manually uninstall or remove Adobe Photoshop Elements or Adobe Premiere Elements by dragging folders to the Recycle Bin (Windows) or Trash (Mac OS). Doing so can cause problems when you try to reinstall the product.
- Do the following:
- On Windows 7 or Vista, choose Start > Control Panel > Uninstall A program.
- On Windows XP, choose Start > Control Panel > Add Or Remove Programs.
Note:
Although this document has screenshots for Adobe Photoshop Elements, you can use the same procedure for uninstalling Adobe Premiere Elements.
- (Adobe Premiere Elements only) In the Unistall Preferences dialog box, enter your choices and click Next.
- If you’re planning to reinstall, select Keep My Preferences. If you don't want to retain your preferences, select Remove My Preferences.
- Select Remove Downloaded Content.
- Select Remove SmartSound. If you're unsure whether other programs use SmartSound, do not remove this component.
(Adobe Photoshop Elements only) In the Unistall Preferences dialog box, enter your choices and click Next.
- If you’re planning to reinstall, don't select My Preferences. If you don't want to retain your preferences, select Remove My Preferences.
- Select Deactivate your application.
