Photoshop CS4 crashes when dragging layers in the Layers panel to change layer order on Mac OS 10.7 (Lion)
Solution 1: Deselect Automatic Graphics Switching in the Energy Saver portion of System Preferences.
Instead use keyboard shortcuts to change the order of layers:
Use Command + [ to move layer down.
Use Command + ] to mover layer up.
