Windows Vista includes a software-based firewall. The firewall can prevent Adobe products from accessing the Internet when they are not present on the exceptions list. Windows prompts you to add the Adobe product upon first use of the software. If necessary, you can manually add the Adobe product to the exclusions list by doing the following:

Choose Start > Control Panel.

Click Security, and then in the Windows Firewall section, click Allow A Program Through Windows Firewall.

Click Add Program on the Exceptions tab.

Select the Adobe product from the list of programs or navigate to the executable.

Click OK to the Add A Program dialog box and then click OK to the Windows Firewall dialog box.
