The message to update your Adobe Flash or Shockwave player is not sent to you by Adobe. This message is generated by your Web browser (primarily Internet Explorer) because it does not have the proper plug-in to display the content on some applications and websites. Most browsers come installed with Adobe Flash Player, so you may already have a previous version of Adobe (formerly Macromedia) Flash Player installed. You may still need to update to the latest version if the web site contains features that require a newer version.
This is similar to visiting a site with Korean text and being prompted to install the language update. Every time your browser returns to the page, you will be prompted to download the plug-in to properly display the content.
If you download the free plug-in, the message will stop appearing.
For best results, download and install the latest version of Adobe Flash Player or Shockwave.
If you are having trouble with the plug-in, please consult Adobe Flash Player Help and Support or Adobe Shockwave player Help and Support for additional information.
Further installation and support information for Shockwave and Adobe Flash Players is found at the Adobe Flash player forum and the Shockwave player forum.
If you are still having difficulties, you can submit your request for help using our support portal. You will need to sign in with your membership ID to submit your request.
