IMPORTANT NOTE: In this update, permissions to read Email attachments or Gmail are removed. These permissions were added in the previous update due to a known limitation with Android v 2.3 and above. This limitation prevents Adobe Reader from opening PDF attachments in Email/Gmail seamlessly unless the app has these permissions. Based on the response received so far, these permissions are now removed from the app. However, in some cases users on devices with Android v 2.3 & above will now need to select PDF attachments twice in order to open in Adobe Reader.

Adobe Reader 10.0.2 for Android supports the following languages:
- Brazilian Portuguese
- Simplified Chinese
- Traditional Chinese
Install directly from the Android Market. e.g.: from an android device click here to install or search on the Android market using keywords such as Adobe Reader.
You can navigate to the http://get.adobe.com/reader from the browser on the device. If your device is on Android v 2.1, 2.2, 2.3 or 3.0, you will be redirected to Adobe Reader on theAndroid market. On this page, click on install button to install the app on your device
You may download the installer (AdobeReader.apk) from ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/android/ to your Android device. Use a third party explorer to navigate to the apk and install the application from there.
Navigate to the Android Market and then to the My Apps. Select Adobe Reader and click on the Uninstall button.
Under Settings navigate to Applications and then to Manage Applications. Select Adobe Reader and click on the Uninstall button.
- Packages created using Acrobat 8 can not be opened.
- Some Asian characters may not get rendered because they are not present in the System font file.
