When using Symantec Antivirus (SAV) 10.x, the recording feature in Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro does not create archives. When you view the Recordings information page in the Acrobat Connect administrator, Disk Usage for recordings is 0.0 KB, as illustrated below:


Symantec Antivirus 10.x treats .flv, .mp3, and .xml files as suspect, andquarantines them. Once the files have been quarantined the file size for the meeting is noted as 0.0 KB in size and the archive is corrupted.

Note: This problem only exists with Symantec Antivirus 10.x. Other virus checkers, including McAfee 8.5x, ESET NOD32, and even Symantec Antivirus 11 have been tested to work correctly.


Upgrade Symantec Antivirus

Upgrade Symantec Antivirus version to 11 or higher on the Acrobat Connect Licensed server. Upgrading the Symantec Program version to 11 may require that you schedule downtime on your system. If you need to fix this problem prior to updating Symantec Antivirus, you can do one of the following:

  1. Exclude the file types .flv, .mp3, and .xml from the Scan engine
  2. Exclude the C:\breeze\content folder from the Scan engine.
