Adobe Connect 9 known issues


This article applies to Adobe Connect versions that supports Adobe Connect add-in. Starting Nov 2017, Adobe introduced the new Adobe Connect application for desktop that replaces the old Adobe Connect add-in for Adobe Connect version 9.x and later. If you are on Adobe Connect version 8 or earlier, you can continue to use Adobe Connect add-in.

Virtual Classroom having "Enrolled students and accepted guests" option selected does not include guests when the Virtual Classroom report is created from the reports tab. To view the guest participants, see the "By Attendees" report for that Virtual Classroom.


Stop sharing pop-up menu is not shown on 64-bit applications while doing Screen sharing on a 64-bit machine. The sharing can be stopped from the Stop Sharing option in the Adobe Connect meeting window.

On Mac OS, when Finder app is shared, desktop background image and Dock aren't shared


On Lenovo T420 laptops, when sharing video from built-in webcam, it intermittently zooms in.


Hot Spot questions created using Adobe Presenter 8 are not supported for PPT files, but are supported for PPTx files.


CSV reports of a meeting in which Adobe Presenter content is shared, show the interaction type as Generic for Hot Spot questions.


H264 in FLV format is not supported for recording playback. When such a recording is played back, video can go black and can lose audio on seeking in the recording.


On Mac OS 10.8, when applications/window are being shared, clicking Notification Centre button shows hash mark over shared application.


Creating offline recording on a MAC leads to a high CPU usage by the Adobe Connect Add-in.


OSMF SWF files and SWF files with SPARK components are not supported and don't play properly when shared in the meeting Share Pod.


While screen sharing from a Mac, the cursor is shared when the cursor size is increased from normal to large.

The following webcams don't work well in the meeting Video Pod.

  • Microsoft VX 3000
  • Osprey 230 video card


For On-Premise deployments of Adobe Connect, if SSL is enabled using self-signed certificate, opening a meeting in the browser with Flash Player 11.3 and above gives an error message about certificate being invalid or expired. For enabling SSL, Adobe recommends a certificate issued by a certification authority.
