To get the complete template package including advanced templates, install the AEM forms package. For more information, see AEM forms package.
You can repurpose your XFA forms to create adaptive forms. To repurpose, upload and associate an XFA file with an adaptive form. The elements of Form Template (XFA form) are available for use in the adaptive form.
From the Content Finder, you can drag-and-drop the form elements on the form.
When creating an adaptive form, choose XML Schema as the form model in the Add Properties tab.
You can choose Search, and select the XML schema already uploaded as a resource in AEM Forms by selecting Search in Repository. Alternatively, you can upload the XML schema as an XSD file by selecting Upload from Disk.
After you select an XML Schema, a modal dialog lets you select the root element of the XSD that you map to the Adaptive Form. Select the required root element, and click Proceed. If the XSD contains a single root element, it is selected by default and a modal dialog is not displayed.
When you open the adaptive form for authoring, the XML data model of the uploaded XML Schema is displayed in the Content Finder. You can drag-and-drop elements from the XML data model in to your adaptive form.
When creating an XML schema-based adaptive form, you can choose to maintain a Form Template(XDP) asset with AF to provide ESign, Verify, and DOR Capabilities.
Ensure that the XML Schema used for XDP Data Connection and Form Template used as Document of Reference has same structure and is always in sync.
