Create an adaptive form based on an XML schema

When creating an adaptive form, choose XML Schema as the form model in the Add Properties tab.

You can choose Search, and select the XML schema already uploaded as a resource in AEM Forms by selecting Search in Repository. Alternatively, you can upload the XML schema as an XSD file by selecting Upload from Disk.

When you open the adaptive form for authoring, the XML data model of the uploaded XML Schema is displayed in the Content Finder. You can drag-and-drop elements from the XML data model in to your adaptive form.

Document of Record(DOR)

When creating an XML schema-based adaptive form, you can choose to maintain a Form Template(XDP) asset with AF to provide ESign, Verify, and DOR Capabilities.
Ensure that the XML Schema used for XDP Data Connection and Form Template used as Document of Reference has same structure and is always in sync.
