When the name of the host machine is changed, the JBoss for Adobe Experience Manager Forms service running on the host machine fails to start. The issue occurs due to the presence of old host name in Windows Registry.

You can perform the following steps to reset the Windows Registry key and add the name of the
current host to the registry:

  1. Log in to the server as a Windows administrator.

  2. Open Microsoft Windows services console. To open the console, open Run, type services.msc, and click OK.

  3. Stop and Disable the JBoss for Adobe Experience Manager Forms service. The Disable option appears after stopping the service.

  4. Restart the server (Restart Microsoft Windows).

  5. Log in to the server as a Windows administrator.

  6. Open the command prompt and navigate to: [AEM_Forms_installation_directory]\jboss\modules\system\layers\base\native\sbin\. Run the following commands:

    • service.bat uninstall
    • service.bat install
  7. Open Microsoft Windows services console.

  8. Enable and start the JBoss for Adobe Experience Manager Forms service.

The registry entry is updated and service starts successfully.
