Issues fixed in the QF

  • Dictionary entries are not created for custom dialog elements. (Ref# LC-3913647)
  • Validation error messages are not translated for user added languages (Ref# LC-3913524)
  • When the adaptive form is rendered in Internet Explorer 9 browser, a JavaScript error related to guidelib.js ocuurs. The error causes rendering/display issues. (Ref# LC-3913538)

Prerequisites to installing the QF

  • AEM 6.0 forms Feature Pack 1

Installing and configuring the QF

  1. Go to http://[server_name]:[port]/crx/packmgr, where server_name and port refer to the server name and port for the AEM forms Feature Pack 1 installation.
  2. Log in with administrator credentials. The default username/password is admin/admin.
  3. Select the adobe-aemfd-<OS>-pkg-<version>.zip package and click Download. Save the package at a backup location. It is required if you decide to uninstall the QF.
  4. Upload the adobe-aemfd-<OS>-pkg-2.0.28.zip package appropriate for your operating system.
  5. Select the uploaded package and click Install or Reinstall, as appropriate.
  6. Restart the server.

Additional steps after installing and configuring the QF

If you have defined a custom locale, before updating the path, follow the steps mentioned below:

  2. Add the XFA client library for the custom locale. For detailed steps see, https://helpx.adobe.com/content/help/en/aem-forms/6/supporting-new-language-localization.html#main-pars_header_1 
  3. Add the adaptive form client library for the custom locale. For detailed steps see, https://helpx.adobe.com/content/help/en/aem-forms/6/supporting-new-language-localization.html#main-pars_header_2
  4. Navigate to http://[server_name]:[port]/ system/console/bundles and restart the adaptive forms core bundle com.adobe.aemds.guide.aemds-guide-core bundle.

After installing the Quick fix, to fix the Dictionary entries are not created for custom dialog elements issue, perform the following addtional steps:

  1. Go to the Navigate to http://[server_name]:[port]/ system/console/configMgr URL.
  2. Open the Guide Localization Service dialog. In the Localizable Properties field, add the name of the custom dialog field.
  3. Save the configuration.

Uninstalling the QF

  1. Go to http://[server_name]:[port]/crx/packmgr, where server_name and port refer to the server name and port for the AEM forms Feature Pack 1 installation.
  2. Log in with administrator credentials. The default username/password is admin/admin.
  3. Select the adobe-aemfd-<OS>-pkg-2.0.28.zip package, click More, and click Uninstall
  4. Select the adobe-aemfd-<OS>-pkg-2.0.28.zip package, click More, and click Delete.
  5. Click Upload package and browse to upload the old adobe-aemfd-<OS>-pkg-<version>.zip package of which you took a backup before updating the package.
  6. Select the uploaded adobe-aemfd-<OS>-pkg-<version>.zip, and click Install
  7. Restart the server.
