Peer Assisted Networking is a feature of Flash that was added to SPS in the 5.5 release. SPS includes peer-to-peer notifications of database updates. For example, if a user (in a single company) changes an asset, another client is updated (refreshed). To enable this feature, flash puts up a dialog the first time SPS is brought up. The user can "remember" this setting, such that this dialog doesn't appear again. You can change it by right-clicking Global Settings and choosing Playback.

Adobe recommends allowing peer-to-peer. But if not, the only affect is this dynamic refresh is disabled. Disabling the feature doesn't prevent you from using SPS in any way.

Try clearing your flash cache.

To clear flash cache on Windows, delete all files at C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player#SharedObjects

To clear flash cache on Windows, delete all files in Users//Library/Preferences/Macromedia/Flash Player/#SharedObjects

If clearing the cache doesn't work, then right-click SPS or on the viewer and choose Settings. Then click the little folder icon and drag the slider all the way to the left (0 KB). You then get the second screenshot, warning you that all information for scene7.com is removed. Say OK. Then drag the slider back to the position it was on, (or any other desired value)

If the issue is still unresolved, reinstall Flash.

In SPS, you can set the language on the personal setup page.

You can also append ?locale= to SPS on startup.

In Media Portal, there is no language setting in the setup, but appending the locale works.

Once you do either, all pages (and email) honor the locale.

Currently, nine locales are supported and here are the SPS login URLs to load in specified language.

(Replace [domain] with the domain for your region, for example,. s7sps1 for North America)

English:http://[domain].scene7.com/IpsWeb/?locale=en_US

German:http://[domain].scene7.com/IpsWeb/?locale=de_DE

French:http://[domain].scene7.com/IpsWeb/?locale=fr_FR

Spanish:http://[domain].scene7.com/IpsWeb/?locale=es_ES

Japanese:http://[domain].scene7.com/IpsWeb/?locale=ja_JP

Italian :http://[domain].scene7.com/IpsWeb/?locale=it_IT

Chinese (simplified) :http://[domain].scene7.com/IpsWeb/?locale=zh_CN

Chinese (Traditional) :http://[domain].scene7.com/IpsWeb/?locale=zh_TW

Korean :http://[domain].scene7.com/IpsWeb/?locale=ko_KR

If you use the above URLs, then no personal setting is required to load SPS in desired language.
