When you double-click an .air file after a successful installation of Adobe AIR on Windows Vista, you receive an "unknown type" error and the file no longer has the Adobe AIR icon associated with it.

The .air file extension is not being registered properly on Windows Vista due to locked file-type association in the registry entries.

This is a known issue on Windows Vista and there is currently no solution.
