On May 22 2014, Adobe Analytics was updated to include extensive segment building and management capabilities. Many user interface (UI) segmentation components that were once divided are now in a unified location.
If your organization created segments under Report Suite Settings in the Admin Console, they were created without an owner assigned to them. The new segment management interface requires all segments have an owner, so Adobe Analytics automatically assigns these segments to the oldest account that has admin privileges. Adobe Marketing Cloud Customer Care uses the AdminSupport account to troubleshoot and validate issues, and is almost always the first account created. Because it is the oldest account, most unowned segments are assigned to this account.
No action is required. If wanted, any administrator can take ownership of these segments or assign them to another user.
