Is it possible for the Privacy JavaScript Library to retrieve Adobe IDs for multiple domains?

Environment

  • Experience Cloud
  • Privacy-JavaScript-Library
  • GDPR

Answer

1): Does it only collect the IDs of the domain the JS is executed on?

It collects cookie IDs from current and third-party domains. For example: It collects the AAMUUID which is set in a demdex third party cookie.
Adobe is able to do that because it makes call to the servers generating those cookies.

2): Is there a way to collect the IDs for multiple domains?

No. If both the domains domain-a.com and domain-b.com are owned, it's mandatory to install the library on both the domains.
