Use this doc to resolve crashes that are introduced by changes to how the Adobe Crash Reporter module registers itself in the Windows registry.

Greetings, and thank you for reporting your crash in After Effects (version 16.1.2).

We are hard at work to resolve the issue, and believe that these steps should fix the problem:

  1. Open the RegEdit program on your Windows system.

  2. Navigate to this section: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Error Reporting\RuntimeExceptionHelperModules.

  3. Delete this key entry: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Media Encoder CC 2019\CRClient.dll.

  4. Restart your Windows system.

If you continue to experience the crash after following these steps, use the Please tell us more section of the Crash Report dialog to indicate that this fix did not work on your system.

Thank you.
