If you receive the error message "Creative Cloud desktop app failed to update (Error code:1002)" while updating the Creative Cloud desktop app, try these solutions in the given order:
- Click Retry to try installing the update again.
- Restart your machine and then try to update the Creative Cloud desktop app.
- For macOS users only:
- Using Terminal, run ls -ld /tmp.
- If the result reads lrwxrwxrwt specifically the last digit is t, then run the sudo chmod -h -t /tmp command.
- Click Retry to try installing the update again.
- Uninstall the Creative Cloud desktop app.

Then, download and reinstall the Creative Cloud desktop app.
