Error: "Installer failed to initialize" | Windows

Issue

When you install the Creative Cloud desktop app or update the Adobe Application Manager on Windows, you receive the following error:

"Installer failed to initialize."

Solution

Try the following solutions in order.

  1. Choose Start > Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Programs and Features, select Adobe Creative Cloud, and then click Uninstall.
  3. Follow the onscreen instructions to remove.
  4. To download and install, click the Creative Cloud desktop app link.

  3. Follow the onscreen instructions.
  4. Follow the instructions after clicking the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool link.
  5. Remove the Creative Cloud desktop app.
  6. To download and install, click the Creative Cloud desktop app link.
