Troubleshoot browser issues
Often, the PDF doesn't begin to print when you select the Print icon in the browser. To resolve the issue, perform the following steps:
Google Chrome

Ensure that the default setting, Open PDFs in Chrome is enabled.

Microsoft Edge

Troubleshoot PDF issues
Corrupt content in a PDF file can often cause printing problems, even though the file may appear fine on screen. To troubleshoot the issue, do one of the following:
- Open PDF in Acrobat Desktop application: Select Open in desktop app on the top navigation bar, or download the PDF and open it in the Acrobat Desktop application to print the file.
- Open PDF in Incognito mode in your browser: Try printing the PDF after opening it in incognito mode in Google Chrome/Microsoft Edge.
Troubleshoot printer issues
If printer-related issues prevent printing your PDF, try the following troubleshooting steps.

- Try printing the troubleshooting page. If you're unable to print, perform these steps to check the printer connection:
- Ensure that the cable that connects your printer to your computer is securely plugged.
- Unplug the printer cable from the hub if your printer is plugged into a USB hub. Then, plug the printer cable directly into a USB port on your computer.
- Turn off your printer. Wait for 30 seconds, and then turn it on again. Then, try to print the PDF again.
Ensure that you're using the latest printer driver.
Ensure you update the printer driver to the latest version. Printer manufacturers periodically update the drivers to improve compatibility with the latest software, such as new versions of Acrobat Reader and Acrobat.
- Ascertain the model number of your printer.
- Go to the manufacturer's website, and browse or search for "drivers" or "printer drivers." The following table lists driver download pages for some manufacturers:
- Find the correct driver for your model number.
- Download and install the printer driver based on the manufacturer's instructions.
- Restart your computer.
Try printing to a different printer.
If you've another printer connected to your computer, try using it to print the file. Sometimes a different printer can print a PDF that doesn't print on a particular printer.
