Learn how to export your creations to use them in other applications.
Exporting is the final step of Sampler's creative process, and the first step of using your assets in other 3D applications. Export your assets based on which applications you plan to use them in. Sampler can export in a number of formats so that you can use your assets almost anywhere.
The export process is all managed from the Share panel. You can open the Share panel from the right sidebar.
The Send to... section of the Share panel has options to send your creations directly to other applications. This helps to minimize time spent in managing files, and helps you focus on the creative process.
To send your creations to another application, use the appropriate option under the Send to section. Navigate any windows or prompts that may appear. The application you are sending your creation to will open.
If options under the Send to section are grayed out, hover over them to see an explanation of why they aren't available.
Use the Export as... button to export your assets to a location on your system. Exporting lets you change file formats and other settings to configure your assets for other applications.
When you click Export as... a window opens with export options.
From the Export as window you can change:
Once you have exported an asset, you can see the Export Queue in the Share panel. Use the Export Queue to follow the progress of your exports and open the file location of the exports.
The bit depth is forced to 16 bits for the Normal and Height channels. The other channels are exported in 8/16 bits depending on your materials and the filters you used.
