Repair disk permissions by running Disk Utility | Mac OS X

If you log in to an account with administrator privileges, but are still unable to install, your disk permissions could be damaged.

To repair your permissions using the Disk Utility:

  1. Choose Go > Utilities.
  2. Double-click Disk Utility.
  3. Select the volume in the left pane for which you want to repair permissions.
  4. Click the First Aid tab.
  5. Select the volume to which you want to install the Adobe application, and then click Repair Disk Permissions.

The Adobe Captivate demonstration below illustrates repair disk permissions using the Disk Utility. For more information about viewing this demo, see Viewing Adobe Captivate Demos in knowledgebase documents.
