Issue
When you try to uninstall the previous version of a Creative Cloud app, the app is prevented from being uninstalled.
For Windows
You get the following error message when trying to uninstall the previous version of a Creative Cloud app from Control Panel > Programs and Features:
"An error occurred while trying to uninstall [App name]. It may have already been uninstalled. Would you like to remove [App name] from the Programs and Features list?"
For macOS
This issue doesn't occur on macOS.
Solution
If the Creative Cloud desktop app is already installed on your computer, you can use it to uninstall the app. To do this, follow these steps:

Go to the Apps tab and scroll to the Installed section.

Find the app you want to uninstall and select the More Options icon for it. Then select Uninstall.

Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the uninstallation.
Install the Creative Cloud desktop app, if it is not installed already.
To install the Creative Cloud desktop app and uninstall previous version of an Adobe app from within the Creative Cloud desktop app, follow these steps:

Download the Creative Cloud desktop app.

Double-click the downloaded file to launch the installer.
On macOS: The name of the downloaded file is Creative_Cloud_Installer.dmg.
On Windows: The name of the downloaded file is Creative_Cloud_Set-Up.exe.

Once the installer window opens, sign in to your account.

The installation begins. Once installed, your Creative Cloud desktop app opens automatically.

Go to the Apps tab and scroll to the Installed section.

Find the app you want to uninstall and select the More Options icon for it. Then select Uninstall.
