Elements Organizer lets you share files through email on all three supported platforms—32-bit Windows, 64-bit Windows, and Macintosh. You can use your Gmail, Yahoo!, AOL, or Microsoft email account, or any other email account, to share files.
Set up an email profile
Elements Organizer provides easy email profile configuration for preset email providers—Gmail, Yahoo!, AOL, or Microsoft. For other service provides, you can specify the necessary technical details to configure the email profile.
Set up the profile for a preset service provider
- In Elements Organizer, select Preferences > Email.
- Click New.
- Enter a Profile Name. Choose any name that helps you identify your profile later.
- Select a service provider from the preset list.
- On the Email Settings screen, enter your name, email address, and password for the email address.
- Click Validate. Elements displays a confirmation message upon successful validation.
If your computer is behind a firewall, for validation to succeed, the firewall must allow communication on ports 465 and 587. Contact your system administrator if you see an error message about these ports being blocked.
- Click OK.
If you get any error message or face any difficulty while configuring the email client, see Email configuration in Elements Organizer.
Set up the profile for other service providers
For other service providers, it is recommended to export the media using Files > Export as New Files and share the exported files by signing into your email account in a browser. For more information on exporting the media, see Export photos to a folder.
