Problem

Premiere Elements 2019 does not support all clips with format profile QuickTime.

Solution

Support for QuickTime format profile is removed from Premiere Elements 2019. So QuickTime codecs, such as the following, which are not supported/decoded by native OS do not work with Premiere Elements 2019:

  • Apple ProRes
  • AVC Intra
  • DNxHD/DNxHR
  • GoPro Cineform
  • IMX
  • XDCAM
  • Cinepak
  • Graphics
  • Sorenson

The following QuickTime codecs are natively decoded and work with Premiere Elements 2019:

  • DV
  • HDV
  • JPEG
  • H.264
  • HEVC (on Mac 10.13)
  • MPEG-2
  • PNG
