Unable to sign in to Acrobat on a third device

Issue

When you try to activate Acrobat by signing in on a third device, Acrobat displays an error "Sorry something went wrong" instead of the "You've reached your device activation limit. Sign out of one of the devices below to continue" dialog.

Solution

Workaround 1: Log in to your Adobe account to sign out of Acrobat on your active devices 

  1. In the list of Activated devices, select Deactivate.

    To activate a device again, simply launch Acrobat from that computer. You should be prompted to sign in. If not, choose Help > Sign In.

Workaround 2: Create a feature lockdown registry key

Applicable to Windows

  1. In Start > Search, type RegEdit and press Enter.

  2. In the Registry Editor, navigate to the following path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\FeatureLockDown.

  3. Create the following key:

    Key: iNGLCEFWorkflowEnabled

    Data type: REG_DWORD

    Value: 2

  4. Close the Registry Editor.

  5. Launch Acrobat and sign in using your Adobe ID.
