This article provides an overview of deployment of Creative Cloud for teams.

The Creative Cloud for teams deployment includes: Creative Cloud for education and Creative Cloud for teams.

For instructions on packaging and deployment, see Admin Guide.

Creative Cloud for teams

Creative Cloud for teams gives small-to-medium-sized businesses all of Adobe's creative apps, plus extras that make setup and management fast, easy, and flexible.

In addition to everything in Creative Cloud, this plan includes:
  • One central Admin Console to easily add, assign, or reassign users
  • Centralized deployment tools to manage apps and updates
  • Extensive library of training tutorials
  • 1TB of cloud-based storage per user
  • Online offering, computers must connect to Adobe servers for initial activation, and then at least once every 99 days

Deployment nuances

To obtain and license the Creative Cloud applications you must use the Admin Console to manage your team. From the Packages tab, you create deployment packages that contain the applications of your choosing. These packages can then be deployed or installed on client systems. The packages contain all the licensing information required to activate.

Alternatively, users can download and install the apps on their own using Creative Cloud desktop app. Use one of the following methods to provide access to the Creative Cloud desktop app:

Deployment workflows and detailed instructions

Creative Cloud for education: Device licensing (Legacy)

  • Licenses for each computer, rather than each user, with rights to install on one computer per license
  • Choice of complete set of Creative Cloud applications or Single App option
  • Online services and storage not included
  • Available through the Adobe Value Incentive Plan (VIP)
  • Online offering, computers must connect to Adobe servers for initial activation, and then at least once every 99 days

For more information and other licensing options, see Licensing overview for institutions.

Creative Cloud for education device licenses provide the ability to license software to a specific machine instead of a named user or with a serial number. Users never have to sign in or enter a serial number to use the software. Licenses are tied to machine deployment pools, which are created automatically when you order products.

Creative Cloud for education customers must place a VIP order with an Adobe Authorized Education Reseller for device licenses. Adobe then creates a deployment pool for the products ordered. For example, if you purchase 100 Creative Cloud All Apps licenses and 50 Photoshop licenses, two deployment pools are created.

Deployment nuances

To obtain and license the Creative Cloud applications you must use Creative Cloud Packager, which can be download from your team Admin Console (creative.adobe.com). Once you download the packager, create deployment packages that contain the applications of your choosing. These packages can then be deployed or installed on client systems. The packages contain all the licensing information required to activate.
