Learn about new features and enhancements in the February 2022 release of Illustrator on the desktop (version 26.1.0).
You can now create symmetrical and realistic 3D objects, by applying 3D types like Bevel and Inflate to both sides of an object.
For more details, see Apply 3D effects to an artwork.
When working on 3D objects and materials in Illustrator, you can save your time with the automated 3D object shadow alignment. The shadow of your 3D object auto-adjusts to reflect the object's shape as you modify the Lighting options within the 3D and Materials panel. The shadow is auto-adjusted when working on the Ray Tracing mode.
For more details, see Apply shadows and lighting effects to 3D objects.
Illustrator enables you to rotate multiple 3D objects simultaneously with different 3D properties around their axis. You can either use the Rotation options within the 3D and Materials panel or the widget that appears when you select 3D objects.
For more details, see Rotation options in 3D and Materials panel.
