Use one of the solutions below to migrate actions from one version of Photoshop to another, or between instances of Photoshop installed on different computers.
-
Select the action set you just created and, from the Actions panel flyout menu, choose Save Actions. Photoshop creates the .atn file. The default location of the saved .atn file is as follows:
- (Windows) C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop <version>\Presets\Actions
- (macOS) Applications\Adobe Photoshop <version>\Presets\Actions
Follow the steps given below to import actions on another computer or into a different version of Photoshop.
-
Navigate to one of the following folders on the source installation:
- (Windows) C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe
Photoshop <version>\Adobe Photoshop <version> Settings - (macOS) Users/<user name>/Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop <version > Settings
Note:
In folder paths or names listed in the procedures, replace the parts between angular brackets '<>' with the details required. Replace <user name> with your account name. Replace <version> with the version of Photoshop you are using.
