Request:
Request to create a new IP affinity. For more details on affinities, please refer to the following document.
Resolution:
Create IP affinity 'xyz' on specific Campaign container in Config-instance.xml, Either Container-1 or Container-2 ... or all.
For example, IP affinity needs to be created on container-1 with name 'test'
1. Container-1: CREATE IP affinity with name 'test'
2. add the IPs under ‘test’ IP affinity.
Note: This step will make ‘test’ IP affinity to be utilized for the respective IPs only when used in ACC.
3. Restart MTA process on respective containers.
Note: For the On-premise instance, follow the above steps and for Hosted customers raise a request to Adobe Campaign Support
Once the above is completed the following steps will need to be performed in Adobe campaign classic:
1. Create enumerations with same name ‘test’ under Administration > Platform > Enumerations > IPAffinity.
2. Then the option for you to select the IP affinity in Typology will be available.
3. Create a new typology (duplicate default typology) call it ‘test typology’ for example and reference it in the Affinity field.
4. For new deliveries then you would need to attach the new ‘test typology’ based on deliveries and to the delivery templates.
Once this is done, Respective IPs will be used from the chosen Container.
Note: Any existing Email & SMS deliveries will continue to go out on both containers until they are complete.
