Asset UUID not searchable | AEM

The assets are not searchable in DAM by using UUID. This identifier is included in the Advanced properties of asset metadata.

Environment

AEM 6.3 and 6.4

To fix this issue, we can apply an update to the /oak:index/damAssetLucene index definition:

Install the attached package to the AEM instance.
Go to http://host:port/crx/de/index.jsp and log in as admin.
Browse to /oak: index/damAssetLucene.
Set reindex=true.
Click Save All.
Allow the indexing to complete for the /oak: index/damAssetLucene index, this takes a long time depending on how much content you have. For your production environment, it makes sense to run this reindexing over a weekend.
