No, the desktop applications in Creative Cloud, such as Photoshop and Illustrator, are installed directly on your computer, so you don’t need an ongoing Internet connection to use them.
An Internet connection is required the first time you install and license your apps, but you can use the apps in offline mode with a valid software license. The desktop apps will attempt to validate your software licenses every 30 days.
Annual members can use the apps for up to 99 days in offline mode. Month-to-month members can use the software for up to 30 days in offline mode.
The applications are installed and run on your desktop, just like any other desktop application. The first time you attempt to download any of the individual creative apps, you will automatically download Creative Cloud for your desktop, which you will use to access, download, and update any of the individual creative applications.

You will continue to have access to Creative Cloud member free benefits, and if you saved your work to your computer you will continue to have access to those files on your own device. You will no longer have access to the Creative Cloud desktop applications or most of the services that are components of a Creative Cloud membership, and your allowed cloud storage will be reduced to 2GB.

When managing application installs via Creative Cloud Packager and/or with enterprise IDs, the ability to share information with Adobe on how users use the Creative Cloud desktop applications is disabled for Creative Cloud for teams, Creative Cloud for enterprise, and Creative Cloud for education members, and cannot be enabled.
However, if administrators allow users to install Creative Cloud applications via Creative Cloud for desktop while using an Adobe ID, then users will have the option to share information on how they use the applications. Users can change these preferences at any time by visiting their Account Management page.

No. You do not have to store all your photos online. Your photos remain on your local hard drive and you can decide which photos you want to synchronize with Lightroom for mobile or store in your 2 GB of Creative Cloud storage. Even if you choose to sync your files with Creative Cloud, you will always have a local copy of your files.
The Creative Cloud Photography plan includes 2 GB of online storage, which enables various apps within the bundle to sync and transfer metadata to provide seamless integration across applications. The plan also includes Lightroom for mobile, which includes the ability to sync images between Lightroom for the desktop and your mobile devices. Images synced with Lightroom for mobile do not count towards your 2 GB of online storage.
You'll still have access to all your photos on your local hard drive on your computer through Lightroom for the desktop. You can continue to import and organize photos as well as output your edited photos through export, Publish, Print, Web, or Slideshow. Access to the Develop & Map modules as well as Lightroom for mobile will no longer be available after your membership ends.

The Creative Cloud website is available in English, Chinese Traditional, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, and Turkish. Individual desktop apps and services may not be available in all of these languages.
For prepaid annual memberships, if you cancel within the first 30 days, you’ll receive a full refund. You’ll need to contact Customer Support to cancel.
For month-to-month memberships, you can cancel at any time, and your membership will end at the next month’s billing cycle.
Many of the Creative Cloud desktop applications provide the ability to export files to the Creative Suite 6 version of that same application. CS6 products are available via a perpetual software license on Adobe.com. Adobe plans to continue to support the ability to export to CS6 in the applications that have that capability now. New features added to the desktop applications after CS6 may not be supported in the exported file, or by the CS6 application.

Yes. Approximately once a year, we archive a release of the Creative Cloud desktop applications. The archived versions can be installed in addition to the latest release as well as other archived releases.

Your Creative Cloud files are stored on your desktop as well as on the Creative Cloud servers. If you cancel or downgrade your paid membership, you will still have access to all of the files in the Creative Cloud folder on your computer and via the Creative Cloud website.
Your account will be downgraded to a free membership, which includes 2 GB of storage. If you’re using more than 2 GB of storage, you will not be able to upload any new files to the cloud until the amount of online space used in your account drops below your allotted amount.
If you are over your storage limit, you have 90 days to reduce your online usage or you may lose access to some or all of your files saved on the Creative Cloud servers.
No, you can save your files wherever you choose—on your local hard drive, mounted drives, thumb drives, and so on. However, your Creative Cloud membership comes with cloud storage that you can choose to use for backups, link sharing, folder collaboration, and more. The Creative Cloud for desktop application makes it easy to synchronize your local files with your Creative Cloud storage. So if you choose to sync your files to Creative Cloud, you’ll still retain a local copy of your files.
A free Creative Cloud membership provides access to file syncing and sharing features, 2 GB of storage space, free levels of services, and access to 30-day free trials of desktop applications available through Creative Cloud.
