Issue

You receive the error message, "There's not enough space on C: drive to extract this package," when you decompress the Adobe Partner Connection download of Adobe Creative Suite 1.0 or of individual CS applications (for example, Photoshop CS).

Solution: Install while no other applications are running in the background.

Install Adobe Creative Suite or individual CS applications (for example, Photoshop CS) while no other applications are running in the background. To identify problematic applications that run in the background, remove applications from the Startup folder, and close those that are specified in the registry to start automatically.

To re-enable the startup items when you are done installing:

1. Choose Start > Run, and type msconfig in the Open text box. Click OK.

2. Click the Startup tab, and select Enable All.

3. Click OK, and restart Windows.

To disable items specified in the registry to start automatically:

1. Right-click the taskbar, and choose Task Manager from the pop-up menu.

2. Click the Applications tab.
