Issue

Could not initialize class com.rsa.cryptoj.o.dl error is logged in the error.log file while applying the reader extension service on a PDF form.

Environment

  • AEM Forms - All versions

Cause

Could not initialize class com.rsa.cryptoj.o.dl error occurs when the installation path of your AEM instance contains spaces. If any folder name within the path of the installation has spaces, it will result in this error.

Resolution

Rename the folder(s) to remove the spaces and restart the server.
