Issue
When viewing assets reports [1], instead of opening a report the UI either returns 404 error or recursively opens the left navigation again within the right panel.

Cause
This issue is a security/ UI issue that is fixed in AEM 6.2.

Use the left tree to browse to the paths, specified in the table below.

Edit the access controls to match the table through the lower-right Access Control panel tab.
To make asset reports work, use the following ACLs:
/libs/dam
allow
jcr:read, rep:write
/libs/cq/core/content/nav/tools/assets
allow
jcr:read
