LiveCycle Designer ES2: Significant file size differences occur when importing and saving certain PDF files as an XFAF PDF.

Solution

Try either of these two solutions:

• On the Save Options tab, deselect the Embed Fonts option in the Form Properties box to reduce the file size. Note: The form sometimes renders differently on different computers.
• Select replacement fonts that result in a smaller file size. For example, replace Helvetica with Century.

Additional information

If you import a PDF that uses fonts that are unavailable on your computer, you can temporarily replace the fonts; however, when you open the saved XFAF PDF on another computer that has the original fonts available, sometimes a replacement font is used. In addition, the replacement fonts on the second computer are sometimes different from the replacement fonts on the first computer.
