Troubleshoot activation error 194:6 for Adobe apps

Resolve the "Activation Failed" error or Error 194:6 that occurs when you try to launch an Adobe app.

When you try to launch an Adobe app, you might occasionally get the error message: “Activation Failed. We are unable to activate <product name>. Please check your internet connection settings and try again. If this problem persists please contact Customer Support, 194:6.”

Select Retry in the error message window. If you still get the same error message, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your Adobe account with your Adobe ID and password.

  2. In the Plans section, select Manage plan.

  3. Navigate to the Activated devices section and select Deactivate for the desired device.

  4. Open the Adobe app and sign in with your Adobe ID.
