This document is targeted at organizations with existing Creative Cloud, Document Cloud, and Acrobat DC licenses through an Enterprise Term License Agreement (ETLA) or Value Incentive Plan (VIP) subscription that are migrating to a different buying program or license type.

To insure no lapse in end-user product access, you must assign licenses in the Adobe Admin Console before the existing VIP subscription term ends.

  • For ETLA customers, please allow at least 30 days of product overlap.
  • For VIP customers, please purchase licenses prior to your Anniversary Date, and assign licenses before the renewal window closes on your current VIP subscription term.
  • CLP or TLP customers can migrate from serialized Acrobat or Creative Suite to named-user licenses by following migration instructions here.

Quick License Assignment (VIP to VIP)

Current VIP members that have purchased Creative Cloud for enterprise or Acrobat DC (for enterprise) through VIP may quickly assign licenses during their renewal window using Quick License Assignment. Eligible Quick License Assignment customers meet the following criteria:

  • Are within their VIP subscription renewal window
  • Have purchased the same quantity and license type or higher than their current license count. Example: Has 75 Creative Cloud for teams Complete Plan licenses and purchases 75 Creative Cloud for enterprise Complete Plan licenses in their renewal window.

Once your organization’s enterprise order has processed with Adobe, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions:

The email indicates the day you must assign licenses to users in the Admin Console before they lose access. Your existing users within the Admin Console are pre-populated in the Admin Console for enterprise; all you need to do is assign the existing users to the same license type.

Within the Admin Console for enterprise, you will be prompted to assign licenses using Quick License Assignment:

Confirm license assignment will automatically assign the enterprise licenses to the existing users you managed within the Admin Console. You will receive an email confirmation when it’s complete.

Download the results report within the Console to validate all licenses were assigned.

Your end-users will not experience a lapse in product service if complete before the specified date within your confirmation email.

Next, schedule your 1:1 onboarding call with and Adobe Onboarding Specialist (if you haven’t already) to learn about everything the Admin Console for enterprise has to offer, like Administrative Roles and Identity.

Note:

Quick License Assignment does not migrate users with pending invitations in the Team Admin Console.

Bulk license assignment (VIP to VIP)

Assign licenses to users via bulk operation using a CSV template you download from the Admin Console for enterprise. This scenario is for:

  • VIP customers that fall outside of the requirements for the Quick License Assignment

Once you get access to your Admin Console for enterprise and your licenses have been added, navigate to the Users tab.

Select Bulk edit user details from the drop-down menu

Download the list of users currently in your Admin Console for enterprise. Add license assignments to the CSV then upload:
