Adobe Project Felix is a software application which can be used to composite 2D and 3D images and assets. It requires Windows 10 or Mac OS X 10.10 (Yosemite) as a minimum.
Installation packages can be created using the Creative Cloud Packager which contain either specific applications (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator and/or Project Felix) or the complete list of all Creative Cloud applications.
Attempting to install a package created with the Adobe Creative Cloud Packager results in failure if the package contains Project Felix.
When creating a package using Creative Cloud Packager, no distincation is made between Windows versions on which the package is going to be installed (apart from 32- vs 64-bit, which must be selected correctly for the target system). Project Felix requires Windows 10 as detailed on the application's system requirements, but the packager does not provide a warning when creating the package that it can only be installed on Windows 10.
Attempting to install a package containingProject Felix on Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 will fail - the installation will roll back, and an error similar to the example below is shown in the file C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Installers\install.log :
