The Adobeserialization application gives no feedback in the graphical user interface on its success or failure. The following advice explains which logs can be used to ensure that the operation was successful.

Steps

To check that everything has run successfully, refer to the Adobeserialization.log generated when running a License Package. This is located at:

  • ~/Library/Logs/

(Mac)

  • C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\Temp

(Win)

If the operation is successful, this is recorded in the log as:

Adobe Serialization exit code (0).

If the operation fails, another exit code is shown.
Details of the exit codes are available at Using Adobe provisioning toolkit enterprise edition.

To check that the serial number has changed, do the following:

  1. Launch one of the applications.

  2. Locate the log named oobelib, located in

    • ~/Library/Logs/

    (Mac)

    • C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\Temp

    (Win)

  3. Locate two instances of the following line - one from before AdobeSerialization was launched and one from afterwards:

LEIDLocForType2A entry written for SN [long number]

  4. The [long number] is an encrypted form of the serial number. If the new serial number is being used, these two instances show different numbers.
