Can't sign in to Extension Builder

Issue

When you launch Extension Builder on Windows or a Virtual Machine after applying an update to Adobe Application Manager, you are prompted to sign in.

This issue occurs on Windows only.

Solution

  1. Close Extension Builder.

  2. Open Binary directory inside installation directories. Locations for product and operating system are listed below.

    • On Windows 64 bit: Drive:\Program Files(x86)\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4.6\eclipse\plugins\com.adobe.cside.license_2.0.0.6-33177\lib\win
    • For example: C:\Program Files(x86)\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4.6\eclipse\plugins\com.adobe.cside.license_2.0.0.6-33177\lib\win
    • On Windows 32 bit: Drive:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4.6\eclipse\plugins\com.adobe.cside.license_2.0.0.6-33177\lib\win
  3. Rename the binaries IMSLib.dll (Windows) by adding ".bak" to the end of the filename (for example, IMSLib.dll.bak).

    Note:

If it's necessary to update Extension Builder, ensure that you have restored the original files or perform a reinstall of the application.

  4. Download and extract the new version of the file, then place it in the same folder as the original. The download link is below.

  5.  Launch Extension Builder and log in.
